Each room is surveyed before installation, and a layout for each room, specifying the size of each sheet of the underfloor heating, is created. A layout can be designed for almost any shape of room, the underfloor material is cut onsite to ensure the best fit. Just cover and heat the sections of the floor that need to be warm.

NexGen underfloor heating is very robust. It doesn’t tear easily, but can be cut on-site to fit corners and other unusual shapes.

Whether retrofitting an existing room or incorporating underfloor heating into new construction, NexGen delivers uniform heat distribution which transforms cold, hard floors into a pleasant, warm surfaces that enhances both comfort and style.

Each sheet of the underfloor heating is wired into an ultra-low voltage electricity supply (24 volts). The lightweight cables run from each sheet to a transformer, usually in a central closet, cupboard or loft space. The robust transformers are secured to the walls using security screws and are designed to last for many years without any maintenance.

We use low voltage power for two reasons. First, it’s much safer – even if a resident managed to cut the paper and short-circuit the power supply, an electric shock would not be dangerous to human health. Second, a low voltage supply heats the paper very gently, so the surface temperature of the material remains low – typically in the range of 29-32C (Set to the specifications of the floor). This provides a gentle, comfortable warmth in all parts of the home.

NexGen Underfloor heating can be placed in areas around furniture and structures. There is no need to place the material where it will not provide heating. This ensures that the energy goes to the areas where it is needed. No energy will be wasted.

Humans feel NexGen’s infrared directly – like feeling gentle sunshine on your skin – so NexGen doesn’t rely on heated air to feel warm. It’s comfortable with a lower air temperature – which means that we don’t use as much energy.
